LADIES' OUTSIDE TOURNAMENTS

Our Ladies' Club receives many invitations from other Clubs during the season, and these are posted on the Ladies' Board. These Tournaments are open to all Club members with established handicap indexes, and are a great way to play other Courses at reasonable rates. All entries and entry fees must be in the Ladies' mail box.

If you have not paid by the designated date, your name will be deleted from the list. Place your entry fee in cash in an envelope and clearly marked with: your name, current index, name of Club, date of event , and amount enclosed. If paying by cheque, (make it payable to the Outside Tournament Chairperson), give the same information on the back of the cheque before depositing it in the Ladies' mail box.

LADIES' INTERSECTIONALS

There are four (4) different golf clubs represented in each group. Madawaska began in Group A and over the last six (6) years has dropped down two levels to Group C. It is a match play format where each player of a foursome is matched against the other three (3) players simultaneously, without handicaps being taken into consideration. Qualifying rounds for Team Madawaska Intersectionals will be determined by the best two (2) of three (3) eighteen (18) hole gross 'modified Stableford' scores (see schedule). A nominal fee (likely $5.00) will be requested before play begins.

LADIES' MATCH PLAY

All members interested in "Match Play" should sign up before May 11th. The sign up sheet will be posted on the Ladies' Board. "Match Play" is determined by a draw of the interested members. The draw will be posted in early June. The player named first on the draw sheet is responsible for setting up the date and time of the match. Each match is based on 18 holes, and must be played within the specified two week period. Dates are specified on the "Match Play" draw sheet. In the event of a tie, the match will go to sudden death starting on hole #10. "Match Play" scoring is calculated using players' handicaps and hole handicap ratings on score cards. (For example: a 20 handicapper matched with a 30 handicapper would get 1 stroke on the 10 most difficult holes-according to ladies' handicap ratings on the score card, i.e. holes #1,2,5,6,9,10,14,15,17 and 18). If you have any problems, ask a member of the Executive.
